All-Occasion. There are wrapping papers for general purpose use, such as those
that can be used simply to wrap a special presents even when there is no
occasion. Choose designs that do not imply any specific occasion such as flower
designs, checkered, lined, or any other neutral designs. Occasions such as store
branch openings, graduation day, or a simple house-warming party fall into the
all-occasion category.
Birthday. Perhaps the most celebrated occasion in the world are birthdays and
the most utilized gift wrapping paper are for birthdays. When trying to hunt for
a good birthday wrapping paper for a child's birthday, try to remember the
iconic symbols of birth, i.e. candles, cakes, party hats and balloons among
others. If the recipient may not be considered a child anymore, try neutral
designs or plain colored wrapping papers. Invest on the ribbon and card instead.
Wedding. Next to birthdays, weddings are the most cherished and gift-friendly
occasions. When bringing in a gift for a wedding celebration, the accepted
wrapping paper colors are silver, gold or white with silver or gold designs.
Stick to plain or moderately designed wrapping papers as much as possible. Avoid
any other color other than those mentioned. Wedding gifts are usually adorned
with metallic ribbons which make them more attractive and elegant.
