Winter Wrapping Paper

Winter is one of the coldest seasons of temperate zones. It also has the shortest days and the longest nights. In the northern hemisphere, the winter season marks numerous numbers of global festivities and events, the most popular of which are the New Year celebration and the Christmas holiday. Snow is typically associated with winter, and covers the areas, which are further away from the equator.

The winter season is also the season of gift-giving. Such occasions have varying importance and carry their own symbolical figures and icons; hence, you can find many sources to buy wrapping paper from for a particular event, especially major occasions. However, there are special occasions during winter, which may require gifts to be exchanged or handed down besides the major holiday festivities such as Christmas. For example, a simple house warming party calls for a unique wrapping paper design. A congratulatory gift for someone who won a winter game demands a unique gift, wrapped in unique paper. A get-together party celebrated during the winter season is also a nice time to hand down gifts, particularly to the party host.

For these instances, it is not merely enough to use an all-occasion wrapping paper. Your gift must express a sense of uniqueness in an appropriate fashion. An idea is to find a wrapping paper design (or create your own personalized wrapper) that symbolizes winter, such as the wrapping papers on the right. Snowflakes and snow-covered pine trees are iconic examples of the winter season. These designs were created using Adobe Photoshop(c) CS using a colored background for the first example, and a transparent background for the second. The snowflakes and pine trees were drawn using the very simple Custom Shape tool.

You need a certain amount of creativity if you wish to make your own wrapping paper. However, if tinkering with graphics software is not your forte, you can always use your web browser to locate online shops that caters to printing personalized wrapping paper. (See Personalized Wrapping Paper).
