Spring Wrapping Paper
Spring is one of the four seasons of temperate zones. It is the season between
winter and summer, characterized by the melting of snow because of rising
temperatures in the hemispheres. New plants begin to spring (hence the name) and
most flowering plants bloom in long succession during this season. Rivers and
streams usually swell due to runoffs and spring rain.
Spring is host to several religious and cultural holidays such as Easter,
Passover, Mothers Day, and Memorial Day, among others. Besides the major
holidays, the season can also be host to a lot of wonderful get-togethers
because of its festive atmosphere, especially when flowers starts to bloom.
During such celebrations, the cultural tradition of gift-giving never ceases to
bring joy and delight to the people involved. That is why, gifts given during
this season needs to display a sense of delight and should therefore be
aesthetically pleasing. A good idea is to go floral, especially if the recipient
is a female. Floral wrapping papers have become traditional all-occasion
gift-wraps that signify femininity and are appropriate during the spring season.
For male children, a kite-themed wrapper is a good choice while for older males,
a sports-themed wrapping paper is appropriate, typically wind-sports such as
parachuting, sailing, paragliding, and many others.
These examples are available online and can be purchased in rolls. They can be
made of satin paper or plain paper and typically costs between $8.95 to $19.95.
If you are a little bit tight on the budget, consider using alternative
wrappings such as decorative linens with floral designs, unused wallpapers, or
magazine pages with floral accents. For odd-shaped gifts and hard-to-box items,
use gift baskets instead and wrap with colored cellophane plastic or linen and
then tying it up with a ribbon. (See the article, Wrapping Odd Shaped Gifts for
more ideas on wrapping unboxed gifts.)
