Mother's Day Wrapping Paper
Mothers are the most wonderful persons we will ever know in our entire life.
They have cared for us and nurtured us since we were babies. Our mothers were
there when we were starting to walk. They told us wonderful bedtime stories and
tucked us in bed. They taught us wonderful things that have helped and guided us
in our lives. Mothers have specific characteristics more than words can say.
That is why Mother's Day is a celebrated occasion throughout the world.
A special mother deserves a one-of-a-kind gift. A gift that will not only touch
her heart, but a gift that will convey your feelings that says she is important.
Mother's Day gifts vary from culture to culture, but all have one thing in
common - gift wrapping. A special gift for a special mother deserves to be
wrapped in a special wrapping paper, whether this be a macaroni necklace or
other 'hand-crafted' specialties, chocolates, or picture frames.
If you decide to buy ready-made wrapping paper, chances are, you'll find lots of
them on your local gift shop. Look for wrapping paper designs that has a touch
of femininity such as pink, mint green, or light blue. Basically, you can use
any all-occasion wrapping paper during Mother's Day, but there are a lot of
specialty shops nowadays that sell custom-made wrapping papers.
If you can't find one that suits your taste or your budget, try going the
eco-friendly approach by re-using grocery bags, kraft paper, or a decorated
linen cloth to wrap the gift. (See also Alternatives to Wrapping Paper and
Wrapping Odd-Shaped Gifts.) Buy her a special gift, put it in a nice box, and
wrap it with a decorated scarf or any appropriate textile. In that way, the
cloth or textile will also serve as a gift itself. Try not to overdo your
gift-wrapping. Moms have special abilities to look beyond what is given. If you
decided to give her a gift basket or something that cannot be wrapped easily,
try using colored cellophane wrapper or linen. You can always finish it off with
a ribbon bow. However, you should cover the items with tissue paper before
wrapping the basket to conceal the contents, so that your mom will be surprised
to see what's inside.
Giving gifts is one thing to look forward to during Mother's Day. The other one
- we get to tell our mother's how much they mean to us and how much we love
them.
