Memorial Day Wrapping Paper
Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States which is observed every
last Monday of May each year. Formerly, this event was known as Decoration Day.
In 1971, the US Congress declared Memorial Day to be a national holiday, to
honor the men and women who have died fighting for their country. People visit
cemeteries and war memorials to remember their loved ones, leaving flags,
flowers, or notes on the graves. Apart from remembrance, this event is also
characterized by family gatherings, picnics, and sports-related events.
Memorial Day is an event honoring the bravery and patriotism of US soldiers. As
such, it is but natural that the theme for this event is related to patriotism -
where traditional stars and stripes dominate the landscape.
If you plan to give gifts for Memorial Day, go with the stars-and-stripes theme.
Decorate your gift as if it were a four-dimensional flag to make it unique and
eye-catching. If you want to be more creative, you can opt for different
wrapping paper design so as long as you stick to the red, white, and blue color
theme. A variation of stars and stripes wrapping paper are classic designs,
which can also typify patriotism.
If you are the do-it-yourself type of person, try creating your own design
instead of buying printed wrapping paper. This way, you could even put your
personalized message directly on the wrapping paper so there will be no need for
an additional gift card. To compliment the patriotic wrapping paper, your gift
needs to have a complimentary ribbon that is likewise patriotic in essence. Use
the same colors for the ribbon and the ribbon bow.
