Graduation Wrapping Paper
Graduations are very special events especially for the students who have labored
fruitful years to finish their studies and for the proud parents who have
equally sacrificed many years to put their children to school. In just a span of
a few months or a couple of years, these young graduates will be making some
important decisions in their lives. When choosing a gift for a graduating
student, you might want to offer a gift that can have an impact in his/her
decision-making process.
An excellent material to provide as a graduation gift would be an inspirational
or motivational book, preferably hard back. Books can be great sources of
inspirations and ideas, and what a way to complement a good book than to have it
wrapped in a wonderful and elegant gift wrapping paper that symbolizes the
hard-earned years of reaping knowledge.
Typical graduation wrapping papers have graduates cap with diploma design, such
as the designs on the right. The top figure is a custom-made wrapping paper,
which you can order in rolls or sheets. These can be ordered online and
delivered right into your doorsteps. (For more information about creating or
buying customized wrapping papers, see the article Personalized Wrapping Paper.)
The figure at the bottom is a ready-made, "congratulations" wrapping paper with
symbolical graduation icons such as a graduation cap, diploma, oil lamp and
books with gold detail.
However, wrapping up a gift for a graduating student need not be limited to
boxed items. Besides mailing a check, you can opt to give other valuable things
that they could use after graduation such as a nice watch, silk neckties, or
even a laptop. Of course, it will all depend on your budget, and your
willingness to give.
If you are a money-saver like most other people, you could also use alternative
wrapping papers such as brown kraft paper, tissue paper, or decorative linen
cloth with a graduating theme. To be even more unique, you could use the
business section or classified ads section of a newspaper to wrap the gift.
Whatever material or style you choose, it is essential to remember that the
wrapping paper is only as good as the gift it conceals.
